Airfields 5.

EGYK Elvington (York)
Built in 1941 this airfield had a distinguished career during WW2. It boasts  one of the longest runways in the UK and was rebuilt as a forward  staging post for the USAF in the 1950’s.  Although modified to handle  the B47 the aircraft were never deployed. At one time it was designated  as an emergency landing strip for the USA  Space Shuttle. Included in the package is an AGN vegetation update made using the FSX SDK,

EGXG Church Fenton
A claim to fame for Church Fenton was the only Victoria Cross awarded to Fighter Command during the war and to one of its own, Flight Lieutenant J B Nicholson.
Church Fenton remained a fighter station up until 1959 when it was  transferred to Flying Training Command and in 1962 No7 Flying Training  School was formed here with Jet
Provost aircraft.
Included in the package is a AGN vegetation update covering the whole tile in which the airfield appears.

EGOV RAF Valley & EGOQ Mona
The Royal Air Force Fast Jet Training Center together with its satellite  station. My thanks go to Ted Andrews for allowing me to include his RAF Hangars with this scenery. The two AFD files should remain in the same scenery file as they share the same blend file and scenery files. The  RAF Hangar file should be expanded to your Static Objects scenery and  Texture folders.

EGOU Colerne
RAF Diversion Airfield. Using the default version of this airfield means  that radio frequencies are shared between Yeovilton, Colerne and  Lyneham. The fault has been corrected in this series.
My thanks again to John Brain for his FSX Trees for the Colerne area. John’s file may be used without installing the airfield
